MONDRIAN PAINTINGS

This week, we painted Mondrian-style: I used boards and taped squares on them. I presented those to the kids, and after looking at the Mondrian painting I brought in, some approached each square on its own and others used the whole board to paint at once. All of the kids were really excited when we took off the tape to reveal the final painting!

Here is the Mondrian:

Fingerpainting is always great!

Here is a painting before we took the tape off...

We also made flower gardens (spring time approaching!) with bleeding tissue paper and cut out flowers to glue on that made very pretty compositions.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!

For Valentine's Day, we made many hearty creations.
We painted on white paper with tempera paint and when the kids were finished, we glued another white paper with a cut-out heart on top of the paintings to frame them.

We also made collages with many heart shaped stickers and flowery foamshapes and glued them on a pink paper heart to give to our loved ones!

WE ALL SCREAM FOR ICE CREAM!

This is a fun project to make, it involves a lot of excitement!
I took ice cream cups and glued styrofoam balls on top (half of a ball), gave the kids paint, glitter and glitter glue, and there you go: Strawberry and Chocolate ice cream and lots of candies on to top!
