Our inspiration from this week's chug came from the work of the three Limbourg Brothers. In the middle ages, they created a calendar in form of a book with tiny, detailed paintings. I showed the kids a photocopy of one page and encouraged them to look closely at the details.
I gave them each four white pages, magazine spreads, scissors and a glue stick. They started cutting and gluing on each page. Then, I brought out crayons, markers and stickers and each kid created their own little 4 paged book, that we stapled together at the end.
