This week, we started off with printing! We laid first the paper base for cake decorations on the paper and used paint to cover the sheet; the paint goes through the little openings and when we took the cake base off, a beautiful pattern revealed itself.
We then continued printing with cookie cutters to add more shapes.
And finally, the kids used their fingertips and hands to print more shapes!
The second project this week was collage. We used the cake bases and cut them into pieces. The kids practiced their scissor skills with foam pieces and they added also beautifully patterned pieces of fabrics.
