FLOWERS

This week, I brought in flowers for still life again. We have drawn flowers as a still life before, and it's amazing to see how, slowly, the kids start to draw realistically! They used markers to draw lines first, and then watercolor to paint.

For the second part I brought in wooden sticks in all sizes, to glue to a board in different compositions. After that, we used tempera paint to color the reliefs; painting on a three dimensional piece is a different challenge than a regular painting. It's fun to use mixed media like that!
