PAPER SCULPTURES

So, at home, we have a new afternoon activity: Paper sculptures! I didn't think it would be such a big hit, but the kids (especially the 4 years old) are totally into cutting, creating shapes and the favorite is the use of tape!
Here are the simple ingredients:

These are after the third afternoon spent at the desk. I helped with showing how to fold "stairs", or create circles, by wrapping around a pen. There's a lot of imagination behind these creations, these are an airplane, an ocean, and much more...

At art class, we tried it for the first time this week. There was a lot of cutting, learning how to use tape, glue stick, and drawing on the pieces of paper, and very important, a lot of imagination: trees, grass, skies and sikukim, and even a self portrait.

Later, we did watercolor. There is something so calming to just paint without instructions... I wish I could still "paint like a child"!
