POINTILLISM or "WE WANT TO DRAW LINES"

I wanted to introduce the kids to a technique called pointillism - painting or drawing with dots! I showed them two pointillism paintings by the great Seurat. The reaction of the brilliant little artists was: "We want to paint LINES!". I absolutely encouraged that, too, of course!
So, dots or lines, I gave them paint and q-tips to paint.

Later, we used regular brushes to paint more.

Then, I gave out black paper hearts with shapes cut out, that the kids covered with colored tissue paper and glue. Those can be hung in the window, it looks very pretty!
