CLAY SESSION

This week, we worked with clay! First I gave the kids a wooden stick with a piece of clay at the base so the sculpture could be standing up. The children then cut and pinched and rolled little pieces of clay to add to their sculptures. They used a little water if they felt that the clay was too dry. Then, they started using professional clay tools, as well as cookie cutters and brayers to shape further their clay sculptures. Finally, I gave them colorful pins, little wooden sticks and of course glitter to decorate their creations.
In addition, for whoever wanted to work also with another art material today, I gave them watercolor paint and markers to draw. It was a very concentrated and inspiring session!

if noga wants to rework it, cover the clay with a wet towel so it won't dry out!
