COLLAGE AND WATERCOLORS

This week we did collages again! First, we cut, tore and glued different kinds of paper, such as wrapping paper and magazine pages. Working with scissors can be a difficult task, but the kids are very intrigued by it and eager to learn the skill. Then, I brought out these little, colorful dots and the children were excited to add them to their collages. It was a very concentrated session.

Then, we moved on to watercolor. I love seeing the progress of techniques that we practice over and over again, as I can see how the children are improving their skills. A few months ago their watercolor drawings were very light, as the mixing of paint with water is something to be practiced. Now, their paintings are full of strong colors!
